Our Story


Our journey began long before DIY Funeral Products was created.
At a young age, we experienced the trauma of witnessing someone close to us pass away. That experience profoundly changed our understanding of life and death and led us to ask questions that many people eventually face:

What is the meaning of life? How do we cope with loss? How do we honour those we love?

Those questions inspired a lifelong search for understanding. Over many years, we explored practical, philosophical, and human perspectives on grief, remembrance, life, and mortality.
Rather than seeing death only as an ending, we came to understand it as a natural part of life's journey. This perspective helped shape our approach to supporting others during times of loss.

Supporting People Since 2002


Since 2002, we have been involved in helping individuals and families through our not-for-profit work, supporting people as they navigate grief, loss, personal challenges, and major life transitions.
Through those experiences, we have spoken with many people facing bereavement and have learned that what people often need most is understanding, practical guidance, compassion, and someone willing to listen.
